Storyline:

Ein chinesischer General namens Chang putscht gegen die chinesische Regierung und tötet den reformfreundlichen Anführer Jin Jié, der enge Verbindungen zu den USA hatte. Chang schiebt die Ermordung den Amerikanern in die Schuhe, was zu einem Spannungsaufbau zwischen den Nationen führt. Recker und sein Team geraten in den Strudel dieses internationalen Konflikts. Ziel ist es, die Wahrheit hinter dem Umsturz aufzudecken, Jin Jiés Frau sicher aus China zu evakuieren und schließlich den drohenden Krieg zu verhindern. Dabei führen die Missionen das Team durch Schauplätze wie Baku (Aserbaidschan), Shanghai, ein versenktes Kriegsschiff und eine eisige Militärbasis. Am Ende steht eine Entscheidung, die das Leben eines Teammitglieds kosten kann – und über den Ausgang des Krieges bestimmt.
